100% happened to me. I cancelled the Membership just to find out months later ( don't use amazon a lot) that it was signed up again.
Without ever asking me or notifying me.

This is why I always screen shot the page after i cancel a subscription cause they will straight up lie and say you never cancelled 😒

Every time you cancel your subscription they somehow sign you back up without your permission or knowledge

100 percent correct. I thought I was losing my mind. I couldn’t get it cancelled. Then they had to hold a meeting to see if they should stop billing. Never used Amazon again since.

It was literally easier to cancel my bank card than to try to figure out how to cancel my prime

I cancelled mine easily.

However, making people jump through hoops to cancel a service is EXACTLY what cable TV providers, cell service providers, and other companies do to frustrate their customers into keeping the service. These companies should be sued, as well.

The FTC better sue all subscription based companies, you have to jump through hoops everywhere.

Only reason they are stepping in is because one of these federal trade commissioners got stuck paying. They ONLY move when they are personally affected.

They definitely do this. If you are not careful and order quickly they will get you. Lots of times they will have the Prime box already checked for you. It's up to you to notice and uncheck the box. This is why I stopped using Amazon for over a year now.

I specifically canceled Amazon kids and a month later I was being charged again.

Amazon definately needs to be sued. Sued for billions not just a slap on the wrist
