Dante, Vergil and ALICE FROM WONDERLAND!?

So when researching Devil May Cry, I found out about the manga and that there was a reference/cameo of Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Now, it's not the Alice we know, but it is an Alice that is relatively close to her. It's super creepy and what's creepier is that she is manipulated by another being known as the White Rabbit

Dante and Vergil encounter her in their own ventures and it's just really strange how these two worlds are possibly connected.
