I don't know how they're getting 30.8 combined MPG. I'm getting 35 MPG combined without trying hard.

I own an SR, I use for personal and business and enjoy it completely, the CVT transmission takes some getting use to and the engine does have enough get up and go to satisfy most (me). I am not a small man and it is very comfortable, espcially for long trips, You also sit pretty upright in this car, excellent if you are getting in and out of it frequently, I am an independent courier and entry and egress is quite easy.  as for it's rivals, I have found the Corolla to be super reliable but, it has less interior room and the car sits lower which makes it difficult for a larger person to get in and out of. as for the Elantra, sure, it is a very pretty car BUT, I do not trust its long term reliability, and quality of materials. Also, Hyundai/Kia's documented mpg accross it's model line tend to be spurious to say at the least.

For what you get, The 2013 Nissan Sentra is a great value.  excellent, High quality feature filled interior, good looking exterior and great combined MPG.

Sound sync problems. I swear I will keep commenting on this problem every chance I get. Seriously, Motorweek... My job enables me this much time.

My mom test drove this because she was curious. Neither of us liked it. I found the seats to be uncomfortable, the ride was too harsh, and the engine was noisy and underpowered. I do agree that it appears to have a nicer interior than the Altima.

Thumbs down for the lack of sound sync. Good review though.

It just kills me to hear when people are getting the SL version for $20-22. This is my first car, age 20 credit score of 670. I still scratch my head at the fact that I'm paying $411 a month, and the final signing cost is $29000. Is this normal? Please, any insight would be great. It would be nice if I can get at least $320/month since at my age, insurance prices aren't so friendly at $225+ a month. Thanks. PMs are welcomed.

Would not consider the Sentra until a hatchback version comes to North America.

well Mitsubishi has always made crap no offence and yes hyundai/kia has come a very long way.Today there are many cars that have bigger engines, more power, even a turbo and get better mpg. Why is it that the altima a much larger car, bigger engine has 1 less mpg? I would go for the mazda3 its has the best handling 40mpg and when it gets redesigned this year it will have no silly grin and even better fuel economy with more power.
