When lifting your bike on a hill, it really helps to have a retention strap set on you front brake lever. It keeps the front wheel stationary as you lift.

Very nice nature camp you stayed at - amazing cave. Sorry to see you have to struggle with Chillie on that steep hill. Life's challenges! You did extremely well getting Chillie back up on her wheels.
That motel was pretty dodgy looking -- hope you and Chillie were safe.

It’s ok to have mornings like that, travels about taking your time and soaking up the surroundings not rushing around ticking of the sites. Very impressive bike turning skills on that steep track you deserved the morning off

I injured my back from trying to lift my bike, so the best solution is a motorcycle hoist. I have one from Eastbound, which is a company from the Netherlands. It's a game changer. It only weighs 2kg's and I take it everywhere with me, if I'm riding alone. It's not worth the risk of hurting yourself like I did. I also don't know why people choose to leave their luggage on their bikes when trying to maneuver them. It would have been possible to maybe pivot the bike with the side stand down with all the luggage off. I'm not sure, but worth a try in your situation. I noticed you didn't lock your front brake when trying to lift the bike, your front end was rolling.
