I am an England fan but Thomas Häßler was a tremendous football player and one of my favorite players. Standing at 5’5 he had incredible control, great first touch, nonstop workrate, low center of gravity, high football IQ, great playmaker with an eye for a game changing pass. He controlled midfield with great class and vision.

And dont forget, Häßler had 5 Assist in the WC1994, just one player did that too, in one WC, Messi.
And Häßler is the one if three players, who score 2 dircet freekickgoals in one tournament, Platini 1984 and Bale 2016, did it.
