This is the video I wish I saw when I first started to write novels. It covers a bird's-eye-view of how my writing system evolved with using Scrivener. It is a wonderful tool and can be used to keep track of timings in the story, the weight of the story, the pace of the story and more.
#scrivener.

What I cover in this video:
00:37 - Scrivener - Bird's Eye View with a project that's in the making
00:56 - Opening a blank template vs. Using a Scrivener template
01:32 - Using only one draft master document and all scenes are written as sub documents
02:16 - Writing in scenes vs. writing in chapters
02:30 - Starting with a new day - tracking timing
03:23 - When the story is done, then I begin to make chapters, and then it goes to Word.
03:30 - The Synopsis section of Scrivener with a template - (POV | Time & Location | Purpose & Clues)
05:00 - Using the Binder to keep track of the Scenes
05:08 - Custom Meta Data - (Story Element and Mood |Relationships - who is interacting | Background Dropped | Notes & Research | Keep track of the weight and balance of the story)
06:29 - Background dropping
07:00 - Outliner View View Outline (Make sure you're in your top-most draft document)
07:30 - How to add the custom Meta Data to the Outliner View
08:00 - Benefits of looking at the story in progress in the Outliner View
09:15 - The corkboard and why the corkboard didn't work for me.
09:55 - Saved Stuff folder - safeguard from destroying your work
10:25 - I use scene titles so I can scan through the story, as they are very useful.
11:21 - Using the highlighter to make sure I don't forget things.

Hi. I found this video on your website after searching for plotting information led me there. This was really helpful to me. I already use Scrivener and have a method but you gave me some new ideas. Thank you for sharing this.
