Did you know where the name Lovejoy comes from? It's a street in Lovejoy's hometown, Brighton, called Lovejoy Road, AND the character Lovejoy from the British TV show named, well, Lovejoy!

Subscribe if you knew fact 2, Lovejoy is a TOTALLY independent band. That means the songwriting, recording, and even the creation of album artwork and music videos are done by them. That allows Lovejoy to maintain creative control and connect better with fans.

Finally, Lovejoy and Bob Ross have something cool in common. They both started out recording in a converted home! Lovejoy recorded much of their early music in a small home studio they set up themselves. It let them experiment with their sound without the constraints of a professional recording studio.

Wilbur Soot found Lovejoy drummer Mark Boardman on Fiverr. This was a wild and amazing story that turned Lovejoy and Mark Boardman's lives around!

Wilbur Soot is a singer who had the hits "I'm In Love With An E-Girl" and "Your New Boyfriend" in 2020. He's also a Minecraft YouTuber known for his role in the Dream SMP. He's also known for his 100 Player challenges as well as competing in the Minecraft Championships.

And you got the name fact wrong, it is inspired by Wilbur’s friend Benedict Lovejoy who helped record some of his songs from YCGMA. Though I bet you didn’t know that:

1. They were originally gonna be called Hang The DJ before changing the name to Lovejoy.

2. That Mark really likes metal, and that’s why his drummimg style is so crazy and different, considering their genre.

3. That Ash is just as great a guitarist as he is a great bassist, and that his riffs are just guitar riffs on a bass.

I actually met the whole of lovejoy and they were super nice! I told them about my band that I had started and if they had any suggestions. Although, Wilbur did suffocate me in a hug 😀

My favourite fun fact is that they say they hired mark off of fiverr but there's a photo or two from a few years back when Wilbur was in his old band, and mark is in the photo because he occasionally played drums for them
