Jeremy Clarkson recently opened his new pub, The Farmer’s Dog, to the public, and people have been queueing to get inside the pub ever since it opened. Every day, Jeremy’s pub serves hundreds of customers, and almost everyone seems to have loved the quality of food in his pub.

I would gladly pay a little more if it supports our farmers, and knowing that the food served is of the highest quality.. People need to stop expecting something for nothing..

Why are people moaning about the prices...? Nobody is forced to go there.. he's actually very patriotic and is helping British farmers, unlike the useless corrupt UK government and EU...!

Being so loyal & Patriotic is an admirable thing to do, but not at the expence of going broke!. I wish you well Jeremy & love your fight to help the farming community. Good luck mate & all the best!!!.

The problem for me isn’t so much the prices. It’s the fact that there’s a serious issue with the customer service. People have travelled from all over the country so then have to queue for anything up to 2 hours just to get to the door, to then see a sign that says they’re not actually serving a menu and there’s no explanation as to why. They do serve bar snacks, however, when you’ve travelled 3/4/5 hours, the least you could do is to be able to expect to have a proper meal.

I happen to watch restaurant review channels and I’ve seen multiple reviews where they’ve arrived and then queued in some cases well over an hour and without any customer care at all there’s no full menu and only bar snacks.
There’s no mention on the website that the menu isn’t available on Mondays or Tuesdays.

There’s a few other issues as well along that same line. I’m pleased that Jeremy has expressed his frustrations because of the teething problems that he’s having. I’m glad he says that the hype has started to slow down a bit. Hopefully now he’ll be able to start sorting out all the teething problems.

When I come back to England for a family and friend’s visit, I will gladly go to Jeramy’s pub. The Canadian dollar is very weak so I will probably pay twice as much, but I’m with Jeramy. I left the UK for obvious reasons and now with Kier Starlin and his cronies really destroying Britain, I will still support British goods because I grew up in a very different England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇨🇦

It's a long way for me to travel from Lancashire to the Cotswolds but I will be going. JC's motives are highly commendable.

It seems it’s only the media that are complaining no one else

Good to see the tall poppy syndrome is alive and well in england. Those with negative comments should have a go at running a business, its not as easy as it looks.

His burgers are cheaper than the burgers in my local pub which thankfully also uses local beef

The same thing happens here in Australia. Try and buy something that is actually made or manufactured in this country and you'll be surprised. It's all imported from overseas. Supporting locally grown or made items is rarer that you think. 😖😒 So, if you do come across something locally made or grown expect to pay a little more for it and stop your gripping. Betcha bottom dollar it'll last longer or taste nicer. Kudos to Jeremy Clarkson for doing his bit for the local UK industry.

From Devon, I always purchase local and British meat. I use a local baker. Eggs are laid but a few yards away. Cheese is British. Veggies and fruit are local and within seasons. Yes some is dearer but far superior in quality and taste. We all need to support the BRITISH

You have to decide whether you want home reared beef or processed rubbish. The pub is lovely. The garden area is beautiful. Yes it’s £6.50 for a sausage roll but all local meat and huge. You have to decide if you want quality or rubbish.

From what I can see, despite the prices it is STILL good value for money……….we need people like Jeremy and must support him!

I fully side with Jeremy, he's doing something no one has done. Let me add: it's not that his price is high, it's all the others that are too cheap to begin with. There goes globalization for you.

Even in the US it costs more to get produce from local farms which makes no sense
