2013 Internet2 Annual Meeting Highlights

The 2013 Internet2 Annual Meeting was held in Arlington, Virginia, April 21--24—the first in the new annual meeting format. The thematic focus of the meeting was Transforming Global Research and Education. The Internet2 community explored how universities, National Research & Education Networks (NRENs) and other organizations use emerging technologies to meet research and education needs around the globe, including those of people living "at the margins" of society. Meeting sessions examined topics related to innovations in infrastructure, global R&E trends, revolutionary and disruptive applications, and Internet2's community cloud services.
