Ontario issuing stay-at-home order, declares 3rd state of emergency amid COVID-19 pandemic | FULL

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced the province's third state of emergency on Wednesday and issued a four-week stay-at-home order provincewide effective Thursday at 12:01 a.m. All non-essential retail will be closed apart from delivery and curbside pickup, and big box retailers will only be allowed to sell essential items, Ford added.

“We just need to hunker down right now, we need to limit mobility … I know this is tough on businesses, but I promise we will continue to have your backs.”

Also, as part of Phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the province has moved up teachers in hot spot regions such as Toronto and Peel Region to be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine next week, said the premier.

Education workers who support students with special needs will also be able to receive a vaccination.

Schools are able to remain open for in-person learning, other than in areas such as Toronto and Peel Region, where local medical officers of health have ordered their closures.

Big box retailers will only be allowed to sell essential items, which are food, cleaning supplies, pharmaceuticals, personal care items and pet care supplies.

I have two teenage kids. Prom gone, sports gone, drivers licence gone, 16th birthday gone, 18th birthday gone, 19th birthday gone, part time jobs for savings for university gone. This is doing more damage mentally for the younge people. I have watched my kids become defeated and shut in because of the many mistakes this assinine government has made time after time.
