It's amazing that a lot of people always say that Sega should just retire sonic, but Sega is making a Huge name for itself and Sonic and continues to make it even bigger.

Sonic is as influent as Mario in videogame history and is way more common in all popular culture due to Sega's tolerance to public-domain-like use of their characters. Love the way of Sega as a company.

- Christmas NiGHTS (extremely notable, as it was the first playable appearance of Sonic in a 3D title)
- Sonic and Garfield pack (debatable, but it's funny so I wanted to mention it)
- Sonic Head On
- The Phantasy Star series (there's too many crossover events to really count, but most games feature cameos and references to the series)
- SEGAGAGA
- Billy Hatcher
- SEGA Superstars (eyetoy game for PS2)
- Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA (Sonic costume for Miku, plus a vocaloid cover of Live and Learn for the arcade versions)
- Little Big Planet
- Persona 5: Dancing Star (Sonic costume for Morgana)
- PAC-MAN (Sonic event in 2018 for the mobile version of PAC-MAN)
- Ninjala
- Cookie Run: Kingdom (Sonic and Tails as event characters)

This is only taking into account Sonic appearances in other games, not the other way around. Goes without saying that there are far more instances of other properties appearing in Sonic titles, or moments of external media like TV shows and comics having crossovers.
