We enjoyed our stay in this AirBnb in the heart of Novi Sad Serbia. If you're looking for a place to to stay within walking distance of the Novi Sad Serbia Pedestrian Zone, River Promenade, and Petrovaradin Fortress this is the place with the perfect location.

Here is the AirBnb link for the AirBnb shown in this video.

We began our retirement in March of 2020 with the intent to travel the world, spending 1-3 months in a country or location. We want to see what it's like to live there and not simply visit, and we want to share these experiences and the costs with whoever wishes to follow along.

If your looking for a place in Europe to live or retire Serbia may be an option, stay tuned and follow along.

If you are new to AirBnB use this link to save up to register and you can save up to $65 on a qualifying stay, and we may get a $30 credit on our stays.

Julie and I retired early not by luck but by planning.
One of our spokes to our wheel for savings, and now an income stream
is Fundrise. Basically we are invested in many apartment complexes around the country.
We get a portion of the rents in the form of dividends, and growth in value with the appreciation
of the properties. We currently have selected an income REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust)
which historically pays between 7.5% - 9% annually in dividends. You can chose a balanced REIT which has a split between appreciation and dividends or a REIT where it's focused on appreciation and not dividends.
Check it out to see if it's a fit for your savings, or retirement strategy. Feel free to share this with those you feel may benefit from this program.

Larry and I both have enjoyed your Serbian vlogs. Thank you for taking us to see what it is like. Although we will move to Ecuador soon, we hope to visit other places as you have.

The tunnels under the fortress are built like a complex maze, many people have therefore gotten lost in there. For this very reason I strongly recommend against navigating through those tunnels by yourself without the assistance of a professional tour guide.
Best wishes, from Norway

Parking Manijak
App for car parking in Serbia. Works for every city. It's very easy to use, just enter number plate and chose city. It will automatically be showing you options and zones and prices for that particular city. Enjoy your stay. Cheers

Dunavski park isn't the biggest one, it's the most popular and the smallest one. . The biggest one is Kamenicki Park, then Futoski.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the cannonball embedded above the store at 5:06 right of the screen - in between the windows - immediately above the heart on the sign.

It is so good here, that out of a total of 7 million inhabitants in the last 11 years, 500 000 mostly young educated people have emigrated from Serbia, in search of a better life …

A couple of issues that many of these North American centric “expatriate living” channels gloss over: the necessity to learn the language of wherever you relocate. All government documents, utility bills, and local bank statements aren’t going to be in English. Simple chores like grocery shopping or picking up supplies from a home center is going to be a hassle unless you speak the language. Last and the most important is health care. Does your potential new home have quality and accessible healthcare options? You will have to find a doctor that you can communicate with, and you will have to develop your own system to label your prescription medications that will in a different language.

I will never understand why people like Novi Sad more than Belgrade. Novi Sad is such a boring place. In Vojvodina, Vrsac is the most beautiful, Subotica is more interesting, Sombor is more interesting, Zrenjanin is more interesting than Novi Sad. I dont get it.
