This is the kind of work that keeps us motivated!

If I still lived in The City, it would've been an honor to intern with you. My uncle Chuck owned Abbey Carpet in SF for decades. His love for carpet was endless, and he could sell it to anyone.

He passed away last year, and watching your videos really helps me appreciate how special he was. There wasn’t a mean bone in his body. He was always an inspiration to me throughout my life, whether he knew it or not. You remind me of my uncle, Carpet Guy.

You would be such an awesome mentor! This is the reality of any repair work- you do the best you can with the closest materials / parts you can get.

i love this! it’s always great to have a realistic perspective instead of just picture perfect always!! even though with your skill these carpets basically always come out perfect 😂

Yep, with the odds not being in your favor that seam will show no matter how many times you try it. It’s white/light cream, low profile & natural wool, not to mention even used kool glide tape which is even thinner than regular 3 inch tape. Glad you upload videos even showing some seams will still show!

Worst carpet ive never owned. My uncle had this all over his last house.

They had to replace it on 3 separate occasions. Cleaning job gone wrong, untravelled all over the house simultaneously, cat & dog peed literally everywhere.
