Well put. If I were campaigning to safe the NHS I would engage the general public to look at what results from under funding the NHS dentistry. People can't get dentists sometimes unless they go private. If you need a filling on the NHS you can only have an amalgam (metal filling) if you want something that does not show you have to pay extra. Nearly all dental hygene scale and polish are now privatised. It's very expensive for people on average wages. This is what is beginning to happen in NHS hospital care. Do we want an American style system. One shocking fact from America 70% of all bankruptcies are down to unaffordable private health bills.

We're being stitched up to believe that the NHS is a failure. This cannot be allowed to happen. More emphasis needs to be placed on the vast number of people who benefit from the outcomes of the services provided, along with examples of care costs under a privatised insurance based system, all of which are run for profit. Prescription pricing also needs to be highlighted ie the NHS can negotiate private deals with pharma companies to purchase drugs more cheaply.
