Love Bombing, Future Faking, Zombieing and Ghosting, Oh My!

With the advent of dating apps that sit on your phone and give you access to thousands of singles in your area, there has never been an easier time to meet people than today. Then why does it all feel so bad? The answer is that all good qualities come with bad qualities. And if 21st century dating is marked by easy access, the downside is that we’ve had to come up with a new vocabulary to describe what can go wrong. The part about love bombing. You said not all guys love bomb, but if they show a lot interest in the beginning and tell you they see you long term, only to turn around and be mean to you, make fun of you, act distant, post petty memes online to get your attention, ghost you & leave you for someone else, I don't know what that qualifies under but it's not a guy who's just confused and was vulnerable in the moment and decided he made a mistake, that's an immature a**hole.

I agree with the lovebombing. But usually the narcissistic type combined with a dose of emotional unavailability and; despite their grandiose statements and actions you feel it is all about them... they are not listening. The lovebomber will do and say things that are over the top...yet they are not really emotionally there, or capable, and are easily able to distance themselves from you; specially qhen things get tense. You feel they are living in some fantasy world that does not really involve you and you will feel something is way off with this person. A nice guy will be consistant and will definately want a connection. Communication will be 2 sided. Unfortunately I've dated women over 38yo and it is not easy. Lots of women do it for future security...not a connection. Some of them are stuck in the past.

My boyfriend of three months tells me he wants to marry me and that i will be the mother of his children lol. I was wary that he’s lovebombing me, etc since he treats me incredibly well also. We’ll see what happens lol

I would say it happens to men as well or more. Women have it easier on dating apps. Only the top 20% of men get good matches. Top 5% of men get most of the trafic. So lots of bad behaviour out there.
