Hank Locklin ' My Wild Irish Rose'

American actor songwriter and singer ''Chauncey'' Chancellor Olcott wrote My Wild Irish Rose in 1899 for his production of A Romance of Athlone. Among other songs written by him is When Irish Eyes Are Smiling

His life story was told in the 1947 film My Wild Irish Rose starring Dennis Morgan.
