My belief is design will eventually die out on you. It will lose it's value over time as you get more and more used to it.
However, performance, camera and bug-free feature rich software are very critical to long-lasting use. Do you believe Nothing Phone 2a stands that test compared to other phones around the segment?

This phone delivers on one aspect, pure clean stock Android enhanced with nifty useful features. After using this phone, I am fully satisfied with it except for the camera.

I chose this phone only for the UI which is close to stock and no bloatware with the addition of nothing widgets, I don't regret buying it. Hardware isn't everything software experience matters a lot which brands like POCO can't deliver in the long term. People going for Moto will cry for software updates since they will be stuck on an older version of Android when other brands will be updated on time. Oxygen OS on OnePlus is just rebranded Color OS also comes with bloatware now smh. Nothing Phone 2a isn't a performance centric phone but a balanced one.

One mistake. You think nothing doesn't have 3rd party apps and is clean for now ( as per your saying) is due to it's new company and apps may have not reached it or not offered it.. it is misleading. The 25k is a little overpriced for this but it is due to Nothing's policy to make phones bloatware free. Even Netflix is not pre installed and hence Netflix doesn't give HDR support. So please correct that, the phone is meant to be with clean UI without bloatware, not because 3rd party apps did not make any offers to Nothing, but because Nothing refuses those offers and adheres to its clean software policy even in budget phones

Hey man, I've got the white, 12GB one and the design of it (despite being made of plastic) is SO good. The in-hand feel of this phone is excellent and I could keep looking at the back for hours (I wouldn't say this for the black one though, hence I took the white one). So recently I got to know that Moto Edge 50 Pro is coming around ~30k and just a week before I purchased this one, I searched for ME50P's price and it was unreliable site which showed it would cost something around 45k, I was like wtf! So I was like anyway, nothing is reliable, it's software is good, camera and performance is decent, chalo I'll buy it karke I bought it. The truth is I LOVE big, curved displays + good cameras + great battery life and I've started to feel like "Arey galti kiya kya Maine Nothing Phone 2a khareed ke". As said I liked the design and the screen of it and even the battery. Cameras are underwhelming (Prev. had LG G8X which is almost dead now hence had to change, but it had excellent cameras), so that's gone. Only thing left is the display part. It's big, it's good but my mind still says why didn't you go with a curved display one, one such as ME50P. I kindy request you to make a comparison video b/w these 2 phones. Maybe along with the CE4 and the Poco one or you know, whatever you feel like.

I don't understand why so much hate for such a great device . It's almost as if you guys are being paid by the competition to shit on it ...!! Anyone who has used Mi or Poco or Vivo etc devices in the past knows exactly how shitty the experience is ..! All this performance of poco only lasts 2 months until an update arrives and your motherboard is dead, Poco X3 pro users like me know it well 😅
I have yet to see any foreign reviewer say bad things about Nothing Phone 2a who btw have a habit of comparing everything with I phone, and here you are complaining about not being able to watch movies outdoors 😂 what lunatic watches movies outside in the sun 😅
The only real downside of this phone is the charger not being included in the box .

Honestly I don't feel the camera is average, it has potential.. it lacks consistency and good post processing but the photos it CAN take are really good. Maybe a few software updates might help but I'd say it's got the potential to be a pretty good camera.

4:30 I think refresh rates and frame rates are different terms.
The screen refreshes 60 times per second which is normal.

pls compare one ui as found in cheap phone like samsung f15 with one ui found in expensive phone like s24 ultra.
Such video is important because many people watch videos of s24 ultra and then end up buying cheap samsung phone hoping to use dex and wallet but forgot about that, they dont even get a basic always on display

Thanks for the review! I live in the Philippines and I'm impressed this phone has surpassed Samsung A55 in a midrange budget with true proximity sensor, smooth OS and performance. Anything that lacks is the okayish camera (though the update fixed) and emulation compatibility. I agree with your review about A55 being an all-rounder smartphone which surpasses Phone (2a) in camera and One UI features and extended software support, although inaccurate virtual proximity and Exynos' battery life is a dealbreaker.

I was at Shopee reseller and saw Nothing Phone 2a (12+256gb) for about Php. 22, 900, when comparing this to A55 at the same price, I'll get this phone ASAP if gaming and smooth OS are my thing, or A55 if balanced priorities are my thing either.
