Playing the game on standard mode, Rundas dies in less than 5 minutes with hypdermode.
Playing the game on hypermode, Rundas becomes one of the best fights in the MP trilogy & is a big endurance test to see how good you are at weaving in and out of hypermode to abuse your invulnerability.

Then phase 2 happens where you both just unleash everything you got on one another. This fight is what Metroid Prime 3 is all about. Using friends/coworkers as unwilling roadblocks to make the player & samus feel even MORE isolated. Fucking great game.

When I got to this fight for the first time, I really thought "Wait, we're gonna fight him this quickly?" And then I realized all the buildup the game had done up until this fight - the Bryyonians in Cliffside Bryyo which according to the scan visor were 'impaled' very recently, and when you land in Fiery Airdock Bryyo, you can see a blue ship above. The moment he shows up when the Space Pirates ambush you is also executed well. For a split second you think he's good because he takes down the Pirates, but not long after he tries to attack you, and any last hopes of saving him are gone. You know you have to beat him then and there, and there is no way around it.

When this theme for the battle against Rundas started and I had to fight and kill him me and my brother Justin were really sad because we didn’t want to kill him and he was our favorite bounty hunter in Metroid Prime 3 Corruption.

This fight is usually over so fast that I never get a chance to listen to it, even on hypermode(because of hypermode shredding his hp)
Also rundas felt like the only hunter who was able to fight back against dark samus…

i recently started playing though this game (literally the same day that this is being typed out as I wanted to beat prime 1 and 2 on the trilogy since I got the wii u version before the eshop went down) and I have to say, I definitely did not expect to fight Rundas, nor did I expect him to go out in THAT way.

I still can not fucking believe that Rundas is the very first enemy target you utilize the grapple lasso on like it was intended as some kind of _tutorial_ boss. And how did the game go about this? In front of God and everybody, strangling his neck until he's seen lying helplessly on the ground begging you to let go of him. I'll repeat: Rundas is _used_ as the TUTORIAL for removing enemy defenses. That's just ungodly painful to know about.
