As a Jell-O shot connoisseur it’s best to substitute the amount of water you use with the amount of liquor depending on how strong you want your shots to be. For example, if the box of jello calls for 2 cups of water, you would use 1 cup of water and 1 cup of liquor or 1 1/2 cups of water and 1/2 cup of liquor depending on strength. If you’re using more than 1 box of jello you have to do the math. You’re basically substituting the cold water with liquor. *Pro tip if you put the liquor in the freezer to get cold before using it the jello will set faster.
