Now I see why you are so happy when they are born without horns.

My friend grew up on a farm in Virginia, and a horned goat disemboweled his favorite horse. He's 85 years old and he still gets misty eyed about it when he tells the story.

Absolutely necessary to be done for their safety. I think if I had to do it, I'd cry after they were all done. You are definitely a stronger woman than we give you credit for. You deserve a medal for everything you do for your herd!!! You, Crystal, are a miracle worker, a nurse, a doctor, a nanny, a mother, and a playmate for them all. WE LOVE YOU!! This is why you have so many subscribers!

This was harder to watch than I thought it would be. I’m the kind of pet owner that can barely stand to get her pets shots, so I admire someone who can do the hard/painful work necessary for the health/safety of their animals. It makes you a responsible pet-owner.

Man that was hard to watch. I want to raise goats in a few years. I ve been watching your videos and learning and you were right about this being the worst part of the job. I cried like a baby but seeing him ok afterwards calmed me down a little. You are a rare woman. I am in awe of the way you do everything. God bless you, your family and your business always

If you shave the top of their heads, it makes for less smoke, less smell, and less actual burn time :)

Thank you much for posting this restraining method! It's not easy finding a partner willing to help. I knocked this method out today by myself and it worked like a charm. Thanks!

Hi Crystal, I can't thank you enough for this video. I disbudded my first baby two days ago. He was fine, I cried. I did the next baby yesterday and it went a lot smoother. Again, thank you for all of the resources your making available for goat owners. Your doing a valuable service for us.

Crystal, although difficult to watch, the video expels the ‘fear of the unknown’ and shows how quickly these babies bounce right back post procedure. And for me, that was the most important. Even in between burning each bud, he calmed right down, responding to your voice and soothing touch. He wouldn’t have done that were he in excruciating pain. And seeing them all together in their playground, jumping all over you and pushing each other out of the way for mama cuddles, is evidence of their rapid turn-a-round and lack of traumatic memory.

Nice job, Crystal!
Using two different disbudder irons works well. I can tell the 3rd pass with the smaller iron didn't hurt.
Great demonstration!

Thank you for giving me the confidence that I can do this with my own goats. I thought about leaving them horned because I didn’t think I had the stomach but I grew up on a farm. I can do it

You are a sweet woman. Hearing the reasonable reason for budding is very understandable. I am an animal lover like yourself, but I honestly couldn't do what you do. I wear my heart on my sleeve too much. Love your videos. I've learned alot. Keep smiling and don't let the naysayers get to you. Farm life is what it is.

You can tell she loves each and everyone of those babies. Bravo for your compassion toward your animals. Most people have animals for business and they are nothing more than an income, I dont see that from you and your family.

THANK YOU, for loving on the goat after you finished. I think that part was important, as well as you talking to it/reassuring it. You let it know that everything was ok. Peace and Blessings.

This was hard to watch, his little screams broke my heart, but I'm glad Iwatched the process. I would like to own goats in the future and I am glad that I saw the process. Thanks for the wonderful video

Thank you for the video on how to disbud. I can't imagine anyone likes doing it, but it is so necessary. Thanks again.

Thank you for this video. We had to disbud a couple doelings today as their new owners had requested it. They aren't for show, but for the safety of the goats and their kids. This was our first time. We watched many videos and even watched a couple others firsthand about a month ago. I also ordered another burner as I see the benefit in having that smaller size. Yes, they sound like they're dying, but then they go back to mama and get something to eat and some comfort.

Thank you for making such detailed videos! This is the same method my goat vet showed me back around 2011. Only difference is I also put a rolled up towel under the chin and tuck front legs back. Our least favorite chore for sure. I will for sure others to your videos!
