Crochet Market Bag! A very practical summer project 🏖️🌞🕶️

The crochet market bag pattern is just the thing I needed to carry me through the summer crafting slump. Its quick to make and practical! and I have a feeling my subscribers are a practical bunch😉 I'll go ahead and write the pattern out below and I've got a blog post coming soon!

Pattern:
chain 21
skip the first ch and make 20 sc
complete 3 total rows of sc
Mesh: ch4 (counts as 1sc, ch3) and make 1sc in the next st. *Ch3, make 1sc in the next st* rep to the end of the row.
Mesh row 2: ch4 (counts as 1sc, ch3) skip the first ch sp, and make 1sc in the next ch sp. *Ch3, make 1sc in the next ch sp* rep to the end of the row and ch1, 1dc in the first ch from the prev row.
Repeat mesh row 2 until your piece measures 18-20" long.
Work 1sc in each chain space and make 3 rows of sc again.
Straps: Ch 20, sl st to the opposite sc corner. Work 1sc in every-other chain space along the mesh edge. In the next sc corner, ch 20, sl st to last sc corner and repeat sc along mesh edge.
Work sc in the round until your straps have 2sc rounds and fasten off.

If you work in the back humps of the chain it is easier to keep the chain straight. I use the back hump whenever I can on everything. I do like this bag. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern and tutorial. 😻🧶🧵📝✌🏻

You can use the long tail cast on from knitting to make a foundation row for crochet?? And you’re just gonna breeze past that?? My mind is blown over here 😭
