En Cheng, MD, MSPH, Yale University School of Public Health, New Haven, CT, gives an overview of his presentation on overall survival for patients with early-onset colorectal cancer (CRC), presented at AACR 2021. The study, which analyzed data from the National Cancer Database between 2004 and 2015, reported that early-onset CRC patients had better survival than patients diagnosed at ages 51-55, reinforcing the importance of CRC detection in younger populations. This interview took place at the virtual American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2021.
