Everyone thinks they grew up poor, but for those of us who genuinely did, we can really relate to your story. Beans and rice for days were a treat, and having decent shoes was a luxury. I didn't get my own store bought clothes until I was 13 or 14 years old, and that, only because an older sister who was married and living a better life bought them. I wore mismatched socks in gym class with shorts and got free lunch tickets my entire school life.
I'm not at your level of success, Billy, but I sure am much, much further ahead of where I started! Your story is inspiring, and the knowledge you're sharing is enlightening! Love and light to you and your efforts.

I am sorry you went through that. 💔 We could talk about the results in your life because of that trauma and lack. It's called overcoming, and perhaps gave you a drive you wouldn't otherwise have had. But it was very painful, and I am sorry for that.

Not that it matters but I am 66 years old and my four brothers and I grew up very poor, just like that with holes in the bottom of our shoes, electricity or our gas would always be getting shut off our mom having to work 2 to 3 jobs and we’re white but I understand what it’s like to be poor
