I unserstand in this week's lesson that statistics deals with the knowledge of collecting, organizing, interpreting and analyzing data. There are different ways in gathering data, they are the survey, observation, experimentation and registration method. Data are units of information that are often numeric. Population and samples are also important terms in statistics. The difference between them are that population refers to a complete collection of all elements, meanwhile samples are a specific group or a sub-category of elements that are only drawn from the population.

I realized in this week's lesson that statistic can be a big help in critical decision making as it helps us compare, estimate and explain things in life in a quantitative aspect. It can also help in prediction.

I understand in this week's lesson the definition of Statistics that it's a branch of Mathematics that deals with the knowledge of collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data. I also understand and learnt the difference between Population and Sample. Population is a complete collection of all elements and has bigger amount of it, while Sample is a specific group that we'll gather data from and it has smaller amount or numbers than Population. Here, I also learnt the used of Statistics and the statistical instruments such as; Surveys, Observation, Experimentation, and Registration following their differences and definitions.

I realized in this week's lesson that Statistics is very important because it has many applications in the society such as in business statistics, medical statistics, statistics for historians, in education, government, and many more.

survey: intrrview method that is done when a person asks info from another person // questionaire method that is done using printed questions regarding a specific matter

survey(questionaire method):Inroduction tells the topic of the survey and the instructions // Profile asks some details that include gender, name and can be optional // Questions to answer the questionaire part of the survey, can be open ended qiestions or checkboxes. the questions need to be related about the topic

observation: the person who gathers data is the investigator and the one that is being observed is the subject..

experimentation: used by physicist and behavioral scientist in gathering data. often used in laboratories

registration: refers to the continuous, permanent and compulsory recording of the occurence of vital events together with certain identifying or descriptive characteristics about them
