I adore the battacor. When I was MR6 or 7 I saw this thing and thought it looked awesome, (c'mon, it is a very handsome rifle) so it was my impetus to get to MR10 so I could build it.

Terminal velocity might be something you'd want coz the travel time is kind of bummer especially on fortuna or on med to long ranges and although it's still not a hit scan it makes an obvious difference.

I love this gun to death. I have A riven with 86.5% Multishot, 133.3% Crit Chance, 121.4% Crit Damage, & 74% Recoil.

The Recoil is literally non-existant, so the negative does absolutely nothing to hurt the gun.


It shreds Steel Path enemies, including Grineer/Corrupted WITHOUT using Hunter Munitions to wait for bleed Procs.

This gun's been my fuckin boy since it came out, I don't care if its damage distribution is weird. It's Laser Sybaris with an Opticor on the undercarriage, everything about it just *feels* so good.

Knowing it has magnetic/radiation innate damage, i'd use it as an anti-corpus weapon. Therefore, i think i would prefer to use another element than viral.
I always hesitate about anti-corpus damage though because of the contradictory vulnerabilities they have all around.
Not gas because of the low damage of the primary fire, not poison because attacking shields with magnetic procs and trying to bypass it at the same time seems a bit awkward... Maybe *ice* for the +50% against shields and +25% against alloy armor that we sometimes see on thougher corpus units, the ones that will actually tank hits. Since the primary fire and added damage will have bonus against shield, the big radiation hit would take care of those, which feels intuitive enough... Ice seems also rather good because primed cryo rounds exists, sacrificing a bit of status for good damage that will get nice multiplicators with crit.

I wish burst auto were an option on more rifles. Feels way nicer in a game this fast.

I don't notice the projectile travel time at all really, as leading shots feels more natural to me anyway. I really think the battacor feels better with a higher fire rate, since you can hold down the trigger in burst-fire primary mode for continuous bursts/ quasi-automatic fire.

The Battacore a versatile strong rifle that decimates any faction but with a riven. It's gonna be even more deadlier there's no reason to not have that weapon.
