I own two of the earlier versions. Superb build. The boron steel shackle gives me confidence to use these instead of heavier locks for hardened bicycle chain.

That lock is a genuine badass! Depending on the angle it looked like that spool in 4 was slightly tapered but it's hard to tell. That also might be one of the coolest stickers I've seen! Another awesome review/video Bill!

That shackle guard mechanism is genius! It means any would be thief has to pick it twice in opposite directions to remove the padlock. Zinc plated steel is a good idea.

They clearly put a whole heap of thought into this thing.

Bill you have to turn off that autofocus. It is going crazy during the gutting. Set it as a manual focus and get it done.

Even after you get an open you can't get access past this guy. You have to pull off the shackle guard by turning the core the opposite way to drop out the shackle or it is just as locked as it was before. What an amazing design.

Edit: He does cover this point in the video. Still amazing.

I've had pretty much the same experience picking the commando lock ichange padlock with the shackle guard, you have to pick it twice or use a plug spinner to release the shackle. I used very very light tension and heavy pressure with my pick to get feedback and set the spools. I half expected it to be undercut as well but I think what makes this lock so difficult to pick is that "mechanical resistance" thing you were talking about in one of your other videos. It kind of just feels like the plug is fit really tightly in the lock housing which makes it harder for the plug to counter rotate when setting security pins. It also seems to make it a lot easier to slip up and overset something because you're putting so much pressure on the pins.
