Biodiversity Monitoring South Tyrol - a long-term project

The Biodiversity Monitoring South Tyrol project focusses on long-term and systematic research into the regions various habitats and their related biodiversity.
The ongoing 5 year project has so far seen the Eurac Research team conducting surveys at over 400 sites throughout South Tyrol. The inventory is to be repeated on an continuing basis to allow changes to be observed and developments to be predicted with the aim of providing reliable data for political decisions in spatial planning, environmental protection and agriculture.
