Clarett 4pre - thunderbolt 2 into thunderbolt 3 Windows 10

The new HP Spectre X360 has the ports needed for interfaces with thunderbolts. Using the Thunderbolt 3 port on laptop, bringing it in from the Clarett 4pre's thunderbolt 2 output.

I dont think that you'll be getting 40gbps by using a Thunderbolt 3 adapter. The speed is limited to the lowest common denominator, in this case its the Focusrite Clarett as it's using a Thunderbolt 2 port rated at 20gbps.

Did this really work for you? The notes in the Windows beta software for Clarett say that it's a known issue having glitchy audio when using a Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter since Thunderbolt 3 is not supported...

My computer doesnt have USB-C native. But as I understand your laptop does have that? Were thinking of to maybe buy that Clarett 4pre box, but were unsure if it were Windows compatible. And if my older computer without thunderbolt and USB-C could use it. My computer have just the ordinary, but now a bit older USB-A connections. As a last question how often would you think you have to unplug-plug in the adaptor in order to get connection again? In other words, how unstable would you rate it? Thanks bro. My Clarett 4pre has the newer usb-c not the thunderbolt 2 and my Imac has thunderbolt 1 same as thunderbolt 2 but faster.
When I plugged them up I got no devise connected, Im sending the cables back to apple.
My Imac and Clarett 4pre does work with a usb to usb-c cable. so Im confused and pissed.

ive bought clarett 4pre thunderbolt and install FOCUSRITE CONTROL WINDOWS - 3.2.1 but when im open focusrite control it says no hardware connected. im already use thunderbolt cable and adapter just like you from apple store. can you help me?
