I will say, gaslighting hits so different when it's family. Being raised by a man who repeatedly would abuse me verbally and mentally and then deny it ever happened honestly started to make me doubt my reality. Like from the time I was little one of the only people I could trust to interpret the world for me would lie and when I would see something different I would assume I was crazy and it carried into my life now. Like to a certain extent it can be a funny thing to joke about but god it ruined my life and it was from one of the people I trusted most
