The Red slug ('Arion rufus' / 'Arion vulgaris') after the rain

"Every day, in Africa, a cheetah wakes up, and it knows that if it wants to live it will have to outrun the gazelle. On the same day, somewhere else, a slug wakes up, and it knows it can also keep sleeping because it can survive without any food for a month or two" XD it is the first time in my life that I see a Red slug ("Arion rufus" / "Arion vulgaris") (^^) some people think to slugs as the most loser animals in the world, since they are slow and fragile, prey to anyone who wants to eat them...instead they are among the most widespread and numerous non-insect animals on the planet, this is because slugs can survive without food even for a month and a half or more (depending on the species) and are able to enter a sort of hibernation, which they always do during the colder seasons and whenever they need it, so throughout the year they can stay hidden for a long time and choose the best times to drink and eat. Their hiding places can be holes in the ground, holes and crevices in trees, tall grass and many others. This encounter was random, I was walking towards a zone to place the trail camera and the slug was busy eating a large white mushroom. I was not looking for slugs, but it would have been the right time since slugs come out especially after rain or at dawn to simply drink the dew or rainwater that settles on the stalks of grass and on the plants in general.
