MSI GT72 6QE Dominator Pro Crashing. Windows 10 Black screen.
I have been having issues with laptop for nearly six months. Everything works fine except when I play games. Any game. Every game I play will crash to a black screen or will completely power off. Here is what all I have done. Running windows 10.
I can switch into the intel integrated graphics side and no crashes. Weird...
Reinstalled windows multiple times.
Installed older versions of windows
Updated BIOS
Updated EC (Have not done this. Will try tonight. I noticed several people recommending doing this. Will update if it works)
Updated drivers from MSI official site for my specific model laptop
Updated graphics drivers (both NVIDIA and intel integrated)
Applied new thermal paste (no temp issues avg 65-70 degrees Celsius under load)
Cleaned fans
Replaced the PSU
Removed RAM / tested RAM no issues
Tested Hard Drive for issues. no issues.
Ran graphics card tests and no issues.
Try to run a stress test and BAM! Goes into a black screen with the keyboard still lit up.
I have been digging through google and forums and have tried several things and have been unsuccessful. You folks are smarter than me and thought I would reach out for some help.
Please help!
