To MSI, I am disappointed....- Flickering screen at 144/120/60hz, MSI G271, NVIDIA RTX 3060 TI

Specs:

MSI G271
New DP cords
Nvidia RTX 3060 ti

I had to drop it down 120hz to not have that weird black screen flicker. Free sync is off on this monitor. I tried switching cords/ports and the problems were still the same. ALL Drivers are up to date. I tried Gsync on and off, still no difference. Never once dropped my monitor also. I used HDMI chords and the problems were not that bad but the lower screen was affected. Just with the new DP cords, it's literally affecting my whole screen. I have an LG ULTRAGEAR 24 inch and works fine.

UPDATE: 10/8/2021
At 120hz, it's starting to have the same effect on the lower screen very lightly. When I tried to go back to 144hz, it's even worse where 98% of the screen is black and 1inch from the top is flickering/static. I reset my Drivers & did not work (Win+Ctrl+Shft+B). I notice it pops up mostly on a youtube webpage/ video playing. Activating hardware acceleration on Chrome does some changes but the problem still came back. I screen recorded on OBS and it doesn't show up on playback so it's definitely the monitor in some way. At 60hz, no signs of it. Will keep updating for any solutions :(

April 30, 2022 update.......75hz starting to go out :/ looks like back to 60hz

August 2022: 60hz starting to go out..... :/

BIG UPDATE 8/17/2022:

I installed a new (actually slightly used) monitor. Its a MSI Optix G271C monitor. My old monitor as seen in the video is the MSI Optix G271. 144 HZ WOKRS. &&&& its a monitor issue.

However, I still do not trust MSI yet. Also I do have people telling me to try replace the power cable with the same or better one. It may be the fix.

IF YOU STILL HAVE A WARRANTY, please send it back to get it repaired or replaced through MSI RMA. Unfortunatly I couldn't bc I bought my old monitor through Facebppk Marketplace.

Update: (NEVER BUY THIS MONITOR) I sent it to msi a couple months ago payed a $100 some out of my pocket to have it shipped there when I got it back everything was working perfectly they even gave me a new stand, but about a month or two the issue came back TWICE AS WORSE it was only my task bar that was unseeable now it was half my screen and as of logging on today 1/4th of my screen at 120hz has begun to flicker. and yes it is the monitor I have tested it on multiple different devices such as an Xbox, laptop(AMD, NVIDIA graphics), desktop(INTEL, INTEL graphics), desktop(AMD, RYZEN graphics) and obviously my desktop(INTEL, NVIDIA graphics)

Unbelievable that this issue is real. The fact that it gets progressively worse is also infuriating. I guess it’s time to buy a new monitor

The same exact problem started yesterday with my MSI G271, which I bought last November. I got that flickering screen just a couple times while I was gaming, and kinda forgot it after the session. Today it got much worse, I couldn't even watch youtube or open softwares without that flickering motion on my screen. I had no same problem with 60/120 Hz, only in 144 Hz. Underneath that horizontal line I had a real troubles to even move my mouse cursor. I've been trying every trick in this 5 hours (reinstalled drivers, resotred windows, replaced almost every component on my pc etc.), BUT when I changed my DisplayPort cable to a new one, the problem got fixed at least for now.

update at 8/26/2022... nearly a year later, 60hz is starting to have a problem. I was able to get a free monitor from a friend which is a MSI G27C (Curved) version of what I posted. Hopefully wouldn't give me problems and its better than dropping money for a new monitor for now.

Wish you guys all well. Hopefully you found solutions or still actively find ways to fix this problem.

If anyone is having this issue still i foumd something that worked for me. I tried avery trick imaginable then my last resort was blowing into the holes on the back of the monitor case and the shitty display went away. Might be poor venting causing dust to accumulate or overheating. We’ll see how long it lasts

Have a MSI G271 that I bought a little over two years ago. A year ago I had this issue at 144Hz so I dropped to 120Hz. Then a few months after that I had the issue at 120Hz so I dropped to 60Hz. Now I have that same issue at 60Hz. Tried everything. Updating drivers, switched DP and HDMI cables. Tried on different computers. The issue is definitely the monitor itself. Going forward, I won't be purchasing from this brand. Might stick with BENQ as I have a 24in (which was supposed to be my 2nd monitor) and it has lasted me 10 years with no issue.

As the other comments put, DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR!!!! I have the exact same GPU and monitor (now my secondary) and I can confirm I'm having the exact same results. It started on 144 and wasn't present on 120, now it's getting to the point where I'm about to have to switch it down to 60. Absolutely unacceptable. It spans across to other devices as well, such as if I'm running my switch or PS5 through the monitor. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!!!

You need to heat up the monitor until it goes away just put a heater in front of it and warm it up and it should go away like it’s only temporary so ye

Just started having this problem today. The flickering on my screen is at the top and only happens when its loading black or any dark colors. Setting it to 60hz solved the problem but that sucks when ive been running it at 144 with 3060ti.
