What are your thoughts on how the Gweike compares to the ComMaker? I make stamped rings and would love to replace manual stamping and create my own custom designs on flat sterling silver sheet that I can then form into a ring. It looks like the ComMaker provides more depth and detail. I would also love to offer personalization that I can't do now.

Do you think this would laser mild steel to make your own texture plates?

Have you tried this on Sterling silver? Wondering if the silver would need to have a matte finish to start instead of a polished/shiny finish?

If you dont' know how to use 3D software, is there a workaround for that? Like taking an image and somehow turning it into a 3D file..?

If you were to make embossing dies, say on brass, can one of these get a suitably smooth finish? Or just a pitted look? Thank you.

i guess the one thing i dont like about it is that you need to manually spin the extra axis to engrave cylindrical objects, other than that it looks like an amazing machine. i would definitely buy it if it was available in my country (and if the import fee wasnt 60%+ of the price xD)

Does this achieve the same engraving depth as traditional engraving? I am a bit concerned that the laser isn’t powerful enough to really push deep enough into the metal for durability.

Do you think the 3d engraving would be possible with a 2W fibre laser, like the LaserPecker 4 or xTools F1? Obviously with slower/more passes.

it seems pretty versitile. and much cheaper than the professional medical lasers
