That is one tour I would have loved to see for sure. But seeing I was only 3 years old at that time lol.

Randall Hall does. He was a back up player with The Monkeys Tour. Then when Skynyrd reformed for the '87 Reunion Tour, Hall took the place of paralyzed Allen Collins. 🤓😎✌🏼

Thanks to my siblings' record collection I was a fan of the Monkees during their lean years. Jimi Hendrix was definitely a bad fit. It's hard to imagine the right fit. Some music artists have comedians open for them. Jay Leno did a lot of those shows. He told of one person demanding they bring Buddy Rich out. If I recall correctly, Boyce and Hart's group opened some shows for the Monkees. They also accompanied them during solo spots.

Monkees were over there w Sonny and Cher, Petula Clark and Herman’s Hermits.Can’t love any of that ilk .Jimi did right flipping the bird on that bubblegum crap.
