When trying to install the missing packages, I get the error "Package 'libasound2' has no installation candidate" and can't install it.

One of the installation candidates it tells me is "libasound2t64" and I already have that installed; it still doesn't work.

Edit: "Some Assembly Required" on youtube has a video on how to resolve the issue on ubuntu.
