Great video. Do you have any lessons on how to play a calypso?

Good one. Now, a really great exercise is (and I might say very musical) to play hi hats ofbeat on the 2nd eight and play ostinato with it, it becomes the 1st in the second measure. Another good and musical exercise is to play accents with RH and start with a BD in the 2nd measure on the 2nd or 3rd eight note of the measure. Placing BD on the 1st beat of the measure in 7/8 can get pretty tiresome to I am sorry Steven, but I just could not resist. Thanks for this great beat with the endless musical possibilities. Fun class last night.

My brain wants to process it as an 8 count then a 6 count. Am I screwing myself up to think of it that way...you know it's the kick that's tricking me.
