Correct name. This is what keeps the Amazon vibrant. The rot of the plants trapped in a wet topsoil ( sun not able to penetrate ) gives a rich source of nutrients.

Essentially extraditing the decomp process by letting it sit in water for a while, which let the bacteria go crazy and break down a ton of the plant matter into the water, which is the fertilizer.

Incredibly smart idea, like a compost bin but for fertilizer.

You can also do a very quick weed tea. Weed your garden, stick it in a bucket. Fill with water, wait a maximum of 24 hrs, and apply straight. Yours is better, but the quick one is very quick for a hurting garden.
