This is a good Idea, but the other day a delivery driver of a smaller company with Amazon commited fraud on a product i bought for £300 and guess what Amazon did nothing because this involves serveral companies which makes resolving delivery mess ups allot harder. Btw i didn't know even Amazon was involved until i relised the reference number didn't match the initial courier.

You can make up to $300, 000 per year. That is the highest number you can accomplish with 100 Employees and 40 Vans.

Using this TOP FIGURE (The best case scenario) you will make $3, 000 per driver per year. What if that driver ends up working some overtime hours? What happens if that driver gets injured and you insurance rates go up and you have to pay a deductible? What if that driver misses a delivery, steals a package or damages a package and Amazon makes you reimburse them? Managing 100 employees, 100 personalities, 100 mood swings is not easy I assure you.

Using this TOP FIGURE (The best case scenario) you will make $144.23 profit per Van per Week. Are you serious? What if Gasoline costs go up? What if insurance goes up? What if the van is involved in a accident and you must pay a deductible and be short a van until it is replaced or repaired? Think for yourself, if you purchased a vehicle and did deliveries on your own, would you, COULD you make a profit based on $144.23 per week and having to work 52 weeks per year. No Christmas, No Birthdays, No holidays, NO NO NO NO NO. This doesn't add up for the individual but it is a GREAT DEAL FOR AMAZON!

Folks, this is a scam and your not really a partner for Amazon but rather they are a client. Also, Amazon says no experience needed??? What? People with experience are saying absolutely NO. That 300k a yr is the max using 40 vans which is a $7500 per van per year profit which is the the thinest of margins. And then theres liabilities, all on you the franchisee, insurance, employees, vehicle maint, accidents, and over 40 other areas the need to be covered. That 300k a yr suddenlybis closer to $55 to 80k a yr for the costs involved. It is NOT a good idea folks. You also need 30k in the bank and a credit score over 740. It is according to the entrepreneur experts not for the inexperienced and faint of heart and you had realistically better have 200k in the bank. Just a warning.

I wonder what this means for me. I personally prefer the uniform i wear until i ditch it for UPS uniform. I currently drive for amazon but i work for a company called progistics distribution. Our vans have no markings on them at all. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Tax them. No, you might say? Well, let's see what happens to our property taxes as Amazon puts more stores and local malls out of business. Who is going to make up the tax deficit?

That's so awesome. Amazon makes you love their products. I'd totally rock that outfit for the job.

The aphorism (in caps) within the following 1879 quote “Goodness knows how they live, it’s mighty hard times with the most of them; in the season they make a bit on baseball, or on the races, and then, you know, ‘THERE’S A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE, ’ and rigid city legislation drives the hard-up gambler, who would be a decent one of the kind, to turn skin-dealer and sure-thing player.” seems applicable to this Amazon proffering published on MSN, September 7, 2018. Lord knows the courier, messenger and trucking last mile delivery industries have, comparable to other industries, their own percentages of competent and incompetent business owners whom had built multi-million dollar enterprises. My guess is that one would be hard pressed to find any seasoned businessmen in the aforementioned industries who wouldn’t gag on their morning coffee upon reading the projected pre-operating income yields after capitalizing 20 to 40 trucks and all the management time and efforts investments, maintenance, unanticipated risk settlements and employers’ federal and state taxes costs inherent in such rolling stock operations and more. Should Amazon be successful at this bottom fishing expedition, it would seem to confirm Ben Franklin’s old bromide: “Thank God for the fools, but for them we would be poor also”.
The financial information provided in the article is obviously superficial, but the numbers therein project a highly risky venture, especially so for the inexperienced.
Hopefully, for its potential investors and ultimately Amazon’s own sake, more of the Amazon Delivery Service Partner’s financial projection information will soon be published in order that those whom might have an interest in investing in Amazon’s “Delivery Service Partner “ could have an opportunity to obtain a more complete and realistic picture of revenue and income anticipations.

So let me get this straight. I get geared up from head-to-toe in an Amazon uniform, go out in my Amazon-branded van to deliver Amazon packages, and people are supposed to believe that I'm an "entrepreneur" who "owns his own small business?"

Instead of Amazon employing these drivers directly, they're offloading all the cost and risk onto all of these "small businesses". They'll help you lease a branded van that can only be used to deliver Amazon packages, and not provide you any guaranteed package volume in return.
