This is why I stopped using a mouthpiece all together

In addition to mouthpieces, Adam also sells snake oil.

After all my 35 years of brass playing it'a good to see they're still innovating, even of it is in bullshit.

This why trombone on top, just move the slide where in-tune feels and sounds good!

The grain of truth being that, for each individual player, certain mouthpiece-horn combinations might better enable their intonation and sound to work together well. Saying that *this one mouthpiece* is perfect for everyone, though? BS.

wow! good salesman. I've got ocean front property in Arizona for sale also. I wonder if he also sells blinker fluid for your car?

I have a 3S high compression lotus mouthpiece and there is a big difference in intonation from my denis wick to the lotus. Its super in tune you can feel it right away its hits each note so well. I wouldn’t say its perfect intonation but i dont have to work for it nearly as much as any other mouthpiece I’ve tried

Adam is spot on. The intonation map for all my horns is better with this geometry.

And thus the trumpet has a tuning slide to completely negate this

ok so which one should I buy? I play a monette b2, sometimes a bach 1 1/2 c when I want to pretend I'm in the CSO and sometimes I whip out a bobby shew leadpiece.. tell me what two or three mouthpieces I need!

brass players got it easy, all they gotta do is buy the horn and a mouthpiece, yet people are still complaining in the comments about buying equipment. If you are a professional or are looking for a reliable and consistent sound, there are going to higher manufacturing costs since these are literal INSTRUMENTS. I get stuff can be expensive as a musician, but as a reed player I would love nothing more than to buy a mouthpiece and be set for a few years.

So which should an orchestral 1 1:4 1c play go for? Does this also help us pull notes down like the dreaded C trumpet G?

How cab a mothpiece fix inherit tuning issues formed from the Harmonic series? These issues can't just be solved from a different mouthpiece, they are inherently built into any brass instrument. Please tell me if I'm wrong!

You’re obviously forcing the note to be flat lol

But then why wouldn’t manufacturers just make mouthpieces that play in tune? Is it to compensate for widespread bad habits that cause people to play way higher than usual?
