More testing.

The last 25 or so mugs will consist of testing to refine the shape and the method at which I can produce the shape consistently.

This mug turned out quite squared, so we’ll have to modify the template some more.

Like and follow along on this iterative journey of creating a great mug. See you tomorrow.

Iteration: 71
Weighs: 12.1 oz
Contains: 14.4 oz (!!!)

We got two mugs in one video!! I consider that a huge win! This video server two purposes. When you cut into the first test one, you can also check for wall thickness and see if it is all even throughout. I’d say the test one is pretty dang even! Good job on that. I believe the templates are a great idea, but it will take a while to get used to. I know you have recorded this video a couple months ago, but I noticed that you dont bring the rim up to the template. So in the final result, it ends up being shorter and not a nice drinking shape. This one did turn out a little on the square side, but that just requires more practice. Trimming also plays a huge role in shaping the final result of a mug. Just remember that using a template isnt the only option you have! It might be the most useful right now, and I don’t know many other ways, but I’m sure we’ll figure it out as you go! I enjoyed this video. See you soon! ❤❤❤

Oh this one looks really big, probably comes from the squarish shape. I do prefer the more roumded ones but the height was near perfect. The mugs are becomimg more and more similar which shows how confident you have gotten and how close you are to your end piece. Keep up your good work!

Woohoo... so much growth in this! Test and applying is a great challenge. You've been doing it all along. You're now just getting creative. I wish this was live, and not 3 months ago. But also... you did this ALL by yourself and with your research. You're amazing! 👏 Keep going.

Once you master the mug you like, you could also consider making a mold of it and slip casting it for mass production!

I feel like this mug is “fatter” than the original template one 🤔 which means more place for tea

You've been making these at a pottery place, right? Have you made any friends? I feel like it'd be a bit odd seeing someone come in regularly and making the same mug every time 😆
