It is just dumb to believe tin car maker which does not give a crap about safety of its customers will care for the environment and think of switching to EVs

I don't want to see ICE Car manufacturer's Electric Car. I wanna see EV manufacturer's Electric Car

Great inputs. I think you guys should put some state-wise analysis for the EV infrastructure and maybe a forum if created can lead to some more EV revolution.

Maruti doesn't want to leave their cheap cars market. They've tried to get into sedan and premium car markets and it wasn't a huge success like their budget hatchback segment. However slowly it picked by and their premium Nexa is doing well but going from their interviews and news don't think they're still fully interested in getting into the EV market. Hopefully by the end of the decade ICE vehicle market won't be that lucrative and EV market will be more promising for everyone to get into.

Society does not allow charging points. It is difficult for common people.

Maruti's mission Lollipop continues. They have been fooling us since few years by showing their lollipop wagon R EV on roads. They are never serious to launch their EV in nearby future. Only keep the hope on Tata.

Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs.
Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. So last century.
Electric cars, electric trucks, electric buses, electric trash haulers, electric snow blowers, electric lawn mowers, electric snow mobiles, electric water craft, electric garden tools, electric mechanic tools, electric motor cycles, electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric farm tractors, electric construction equipment, electric delivery vehicles, everything is going electric. No worries about starting after sitting for a few months. Gas always needs repairs.

People do care about the range. Your data point of 90%people driving just 40kms range is in wrong direction. People will go for weekend trips most likely which might be around 250-300 kms round trip.

Sir please do some research on Atumobile Atum 1.0. It is a Hyderabad based electric two wheeler company they have done more than 500 bookings for their Atum 1.0 electric bike. Booking started on 5th of October 2020 and the company said that they will start deliveries from 10th December 2020 but still they didn't started deliveries and again said that they will start deliveries from last week of February 2021. They charged ₹3, 000 as booking amount.

Why speak about Maruti when Tata Nexon Ev is very much available in market. Promote nexon Ev than complain

Tbh if I am buying an EV it would be for driving and savings which I would get. Saving environment would be least of my concern. Don't think anybody buys cars to save environment they are switching to EVs because of cost saving in long run and ease of driving.

We'd all like a car that uses electricity, is silent and non polluting and costs Rs1 per km to run. But the truth is somewhat different. Like it or not, electricity is produced mainly by coal in India. Like it or not, Lithium batteries are expensive and their raw materials are not easy to procure. Like it or not, there is only ONE EV four wheeler with an on road price of less than 10 lakhs. Like it or not, it takes much longer to charge an EV than filling a car with petrol or gas.
What makes sense in a country like ours is to make dedicated roads and lanes for electric scooters and electric bicycles so that their riders can drive safely and charge their batteries at home. What makes sense is to actively research hydrogen fuel cells and reduce dependence on massive bulky batteries. What makes sense is to use overhead wires for charging - especially on highways, where currently trucks and buses run on diesel.
