The line that atlus said, about being able to breathe out for the first time in three years, I felt that. Been following skt since 2016 where I saw them go to 5 games against ssg. Continued to 2017 and I see the team do so well and got so far but shattered at the finals. 2018 was forgettable but 2019, I had hopes... But even when T1 was winning their games in groups, it didn't look very convincing to me. Like they were barely winning but because the score said 5-1 I thought well it didn't matter as long as they won. Then quarterfinals came and I saw they go 3-1 against splyce, the 3rd seed from europe and I was like, "Something's not right with T1. They aren't as crisp as their scoreline would have you believe. Then semis came and we saw them collapse against their msi rivals. I was heartbroken but deep down I knew it had a chance of happening so it wasn't as sad as 2017. 2020 was a rollercoaster of emotions, same goes for early 2021, but after the coaching staff was fired and oner and guma were given a chance, they cleaned up so much of their gameplay and even challenged damwon in finals. A team with so many rookies but also so much talent and I see them dominate in the group stage... I can finally feel relief looking at T1 play. Whatever happens in semis against damwon happens, but all I hope is that this team stays together longer to polish their teamwork and go to even greater heights.

The last time I saw SKT, they were almost on their last leg but managed to reach the grand finals of worlds. This is like the golden days of them where people just wish they lose to have the game not so boring cause SKT always wins in the end. The game is just not close...

No denying that Damwon is an imminent threat, but truthfully I am just so relieved that T1 is finally performing so much better than they have performed in the last years. I don't know if it's enough to overtake Damwon, but I'm just happy T1 is seeing better days now. A roster with 2 rookies was a gamble, but seeing their performance, I think they are refreshed and is up for greatness. Gotta love that progress.
