Nobody will EVER come as close to what Arsenio did for late night TV. And I wasn't even born during his first run (his second run I was a senior in high school 10 years ago). He left a void that never ever really be filled.

The Arsenio Hall Show was THE place to be. And it's really amazing what he did because he wasn't on a major network, plus Letterman was around and not to mention the LEGENDARY JOHNNYCARSON who passed it to Leno.
The late night shows today STILL don't hold a candle to Arsenio.

That Show was magic, it was hot, hip, And he wasn't afraid to put The Culture ( Black Culture) on. Micheal Jackson Prince, Eddie Murphy, NWA breakup, MC HAMMER, SO many more. Anyone who was someone or was gonna be someone ( Brunno Mars before he became B.M.) want to be on Arsenio.

I MISS the 90s, Arsenio was one of the things that had the 90s poppin. Wrestlers, Musicians, Rappers, Actors, Politicians, controversy, (Sinead O'Connor) etc he had them all. ARSENIO truly became the NEW King Of Late-night in the short time he had.

I hate he ended it, I've always believed he was threatened because he had Minister Farakhan on. He confronted Gay Protestors for disrupting his show Plus he was killing Letterman and Carson in ratings, he had to be. For all that he had to be shut down. This show really could've went for a decade or more.

His show maybe could have lasted longer had he stayed at Fox or if CBS execs had a brain and chose not to copy the Carson formula with Pat Sajak (who, knowing the writing was on the wall, delivered his own pre-Louis Farrakhan moment with guest host Rush Limbaugh, which worked out as well as you'd expect) so that he wouldn't lose key CBS and Fox affiliates to Letterman and the Chevy Chase disaster at Fox that also indirectly led to the demise of his show (Fox's revenge for getting rejected by Hall), but then again that all depended on the amount of creative freedom Arsenio Hall would have had compared to what Paramount Television gave him with his syndication deal.

Wasn't an Arsenio Hall fan after he was such a dick to Andrew Dice Clay about his gay jokes (cause AH is gay) and then so brutally mean to Milli Vanilli and let them millionaire producers that were fully aware of the fraud skate away.

This is gonna sound weird but its genuine, but what was up with Prince? Just like super autistic or like drugged out?
