In this clip, Ed Lover gave his reaction to the recent passing of Migos member Takeoff. He recalled meeting the late rapper and praised him for his decency and respectful attitude. While expressing how heartbroken he was over the tragedy, he took the time to highlight the Migos' impact on rap music and called them the most important rap group of the past decade. Shawn Prez and Ed Lover also pointed out the fact that Takeoff's death stood out more than other rappers due to the fact that the Migos are crossover stars. To hear more, check out the clip above.

It's crazy Takeoff was the youngest of the camp but if you paid attention to him he was also the most informed on the history of hip hop culture and had a great deal of respect for the pioneers. Rest in peace man smh. We may not know these brothas personally but as the saying goes, real recognize real. Crazy how people REALLY shit on Migos when they came out. We heard them a little earlier than everyone one else here in Alabama, but they NEVER missed. Takeoff created a flow that literally made its way through the rap game and they NEVER publicly pop shit about people taking their style or emulating it. Snoop and 50 Cent both hated on them HARD and publicly and now they’re so heartbroken over Takeoff’s passing and paying tribute to him on their shows and interviews… smh
