Joe
Don’t be to hard on yourself!! You’ve learned a bunch in two years since I started watching your videos use the loss to fuel the wins to come!!

I would imagine the chain is significant. Having seen Helsels chains there is a lot of work in prepping and sharpening the chains. Maybe spend a bit of time on that. We used to run inertia dynos on 2 strokes to get a sense of acceleration ability. your measuring break down torque from what I see. great videos

Your saws still run good man! As u say its practice in the wood to see how much load you can apply without bogging the suckers! I'm stoked for the 361 clone build.. I think they should do the 395 xp clone for big saw clone! That would be sweet.

Well said Joe, “humbling experience.” I can totally relate. Funny how that works😂 the most practiced sawyer won the races even when he had less of a saw.

That 170 sounds like a supercharged whoopee cushion. This is the future right here.

No but really Joe, excellent videos. And for what it's worth you already seem pretty humble.

Congrats. Either way one learns something, right? Thanks for the video. Cheers

Saw racing is fun but many things need to go right with lots of possible things that can go wrong. Testing, tuning in wood with tweaks to chain, sprocket gearing, timing changes etc are vital. And then u gotta have the skills, u need to guide than fine tuned screaming box of metal trough the wood optimising its potential. Its a tough gig to do well. Respect to Joe for having a good crack at it, winning one class is nothing to be disappointed with.

Hey, you did get 1st place in the 65cc class 2 cuts 14" white pine on Saturday, beat the 2nd place guy by a pretty good margin too.. but those who are always striving to better themselves are the ones who do. Thanks Joe

Joe I have always enjoyed your vids and the dyno info is very informative. Like you said, the dyno is a tool. Get good results on the dyno and then see how it translates to wood.

Appreciate your honesty.
You did win one class though. If I won anything I’d be over the moon so don’t feel too bad.
Dyno results aren’t the real world. True words! Still valuable information.
Love your channel. I’ve learned a lot.
Keep it up!

The really crazy thing is that the slowest person there is probably still going through the dang wood faster then most of us non race dudes ever will! LMFFAO. You are awesome and build some incredible stuff buddy! If you ain’t practicing on the whole cutting process then it’s just about having a killer fun time! There’s always next year!
