I definitely think everyone should keep a journal, especially men since we are emotionally told to not express our feelings. It has helped me a lot every time i write it feels like i close an app or close all the extra tabs in my mind.

I used to journal almost every day, but got out of the habit because my journal was being invaded by my parents. I stopped talking to them about any personal matters because I felt like they weren't even trying to understand me and my feelings were being dismissed and ignored, or sometimes even weaponized against me. Then I found them using my words against me when I knew I hadn't told them about something, but wrote it in my journal. They basically told on themselves.
So, for a long time, I felt it wasn't safe to write it down because they would read it and at that point, there was no point. But this video opened my eyes to the benefits I had forgotten with journaling. So I may take up the habit again, now that I know I'm only around people I can trust to not invade my privacy like that.
Thanks Rashawnda! Keep up the good advice and love your positive energy!

I'm not sure why this video popped up in my stream but what a spiritually and physically beautiful woman. I really hope you inspire many to journal, the benefits are many not just for therapy, but I imagine myself when I'm older and wiser, taking out my journals, brewing some coffee or tea, and reading through all those thoughts and words remembering things we could possibly forget if we didn't journal. Stay beautiful.

I started a diary when I was in high school. Now that I am “40” (cough, cough), I still do it! But I call it journaling. Looking over some of the stuff that I used to worry over, I just laugh at it!

I started writing to myself a couple years ago. I never called it journaling though. I am planning to continue to do this until the very last days of my life. It's amazing and it changed my life. I am AMAZED how much I've learned about myself, and how much more aware I am of my thoughts, emotions, and all the inner workings of my mind.

I received a blank lined journal 4 years ago as a gift that set it on my bookshelf for years because I thought it was too cute to write in, but after hearing someone say make the first page you write in kinda ugly it’ll become easier I decided to give it try and it worked LOL!

I’ve been writing daily since July 15, 2020 ... so much so, that I had to ordered another journal because I only have twelve pages left (big smile)

I made it to the end!

Starting a new Bullet Journal!! I struggle with anxiety and depression. Also struggle with being creative and allowing myself to be artistic. That's why I fell in love with bullet Journaling but I am a little intimated. I have a really bad negative self talk. So I don't want it to all be negative brain dump. Idk.

I started journaling in March, as soon as I found out about Covid and was told to stay home from my job. Since then, I have been journaling every single day, and it has really been a great help with the anxiety that I've been feeling since the pandemic started. I highly recommend it!

Rashawnda reminds me of my wife of 32 years, who I lost to a combination of a bad reaction to generic of Cardizem and MBC in September. She was always writing in journals. Apparently Rosita's journaling allowed her to remember what she studied to the point that she could remember the page number of a book when she would quote. She was an amazing and beautiful person and often her workmates would call her the Child Whisperer with the way she would connect with the children at the school she worked at. Rosita touched so many lives. There was over 500 people on her Zoom Memorial. I look forward to seeing Rosita again when she is resurrected back to life in the Paradise Earth as John 5:28, 29, Psalms 37:9-11, 29 and Revelation 21:4 are fulfilled.

Excellent. Bravo and kudos to you. Journaling is such a great way to start your day as well... as you can journal forward. I started out in my diary as a young girl.. now journaling. The diary only let you have a page or two. It also helps you build your confidence, creativity, love of self and, as you said, heal. I also have a gratitude journal that is especially good when things aren’t going right, helps you to focus on what is good around you or in your life... uplifting. God bless you. Keep up this great work!

This video came at just the right time because I decided today to start journaling! Covid has me dealing with all kinds of things and it wasn't doing me any good trying to process it without something concrete to use to work through it all. So grateful to you for posting this, I wouldn't have even thought of some of these benefits ❤️

I can honestly say that journaling has saved my life. I started journaling with a live journal in 2002 and I have kept it up for the most part over the last 18 years. I never thought I'd be super important but when I got into my first domestic violence a decade ago, the only place I felt safe to turn was my journal. When you are dealing with severe trauma, your memory gets wiped on a pretty regular basis so my journal was my only record of what actually happened during those years. I got into another violent relationship and marriage a few years ago and there were really horrible things that I Journal that I have no recollection of. Thank you for sharing your tips :-)

I've been journaling for over 5 years, it's really a life changer for me. I learned so much about myself. Whenever I feel down, the first thing I do is to sit down and start to write. It's ok to don't know what I want to write about, it's not an essay that will be graded. I just let my thoughts and feelings flow with my pen. Often times than not, I will feel much more clearer after writing and see what's bothering me and feel calmer back to life. Personally, I find it most helpful to do journaling along with some reading. What I read often leads me to think and write about certain aspects of my life and I can see myself grow continuously because of these two habits.

I couldn't stop looking at the colours in this video- I love the balanced blend of colours of your skin against the baby blue background wall and the vibrant green of your beautiful plant <3

I've been journaling for a few months now. I used to when I was in High School and hadn't done it since because of fear of people finding my journal and "having access to my head". Now with encrypted journaling apps, girl I just let. it. ebb and FLOW, ebb and FLOW, ebb and FLOW! I feel free when I journal and now I have like four different journals on my app which is great. :)

I started writing journals in High School as a my English class my teachers instructed us. I actually enjoyed it so much that I created and kept some in the military and afterward. There is always something magical when you put your thoughts on paper at it flows out of you. Now I stop and think and access my thoughts more, and walk and talk things out. Like you said journals are great and I'm going to write more consistently because I have a lot to unpack as I move forward on a daily basis. "See? like that right there..." Ha

Writing is super important in my life. I am one that keeps things bottled up and writing is a good out pouring of emotions, thoughts, rationalizations, reflections of bad decisions, and revelations of things I didn't see at the time but when I come back to those times it's like oh wow that did happen. Also writing is one of my outlets to battle depression, I'm not an advocate for depression meds and that's a personal choice, but writing has been so helpful that I can write and show someone because I don't know how to speak all the things I see and feel sometimes.

Never took journaling into consideration but after hearing you explain how it can help process your feelings, relieve anxiety & stress I’ve realized that I lack emotional intelligence as a whole. I’m going to watch your next video so that I can begin journaling
