Stepping into the spotlight, Caitlyn Jenner (formally Bruce Jenner) was honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award for transcending sports during the ESPY Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Her speech called out for respect of people within the transgender community.

Caitlyn Jenner says it “wasn’t easy” to hold in her emotions during her heartfelt acceptance speech at Wednesday’s ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, where the Olympic gold medalist received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Jenner, 65, formerly known as Bruce, made an emotional plea for "accepting people for who they are" in her 10-minute speech, and spoke out about her journey as a transgender person.

"I trained hard. I competed hard. And for that people respected me," Jenner said in her speech. "But this transition has been harder on me than anything I can imagine."

Bruce himself stated after he makes his 1st public appearance as Caitlyn, he will NO longer be Bruce. He told Diane Sawyer that he & Caitlyn are TWO separate people, one having nothing to do with the other.  Since he no longer wants to be Bruce, he had no business accepting this award for Bruce's accomplishments!
