A dear friend of mine got fired from NASA for sleeping on the job. he was an engineer and would tell me stories of how horrible it was working there, and how he ended up opening a bicycle store in Houston, and found happiness. I have worked in a couple of those big government research places, and when i left them remember thinking what was i doing there, they are the most depressing places to work. they pay everyone so much money it is like wearing golden chains of slavery.

As someone who loves cars and their history: the fact that the car the NASA astronaut is in is a Corvette means someone knows their shit, prior to the moon landing, since nasa needed astronauts everywhere on a huge base throughout the day, they gave the astronauts corvette stingrays. However, the government did not like that they were being given for free because of some tax thing for GMC so nasa and gmc made it so that the astronauts had to pay 1 dollar for a car that in decent shape is worth 50 grand, more if the engine is more powerful. James May of the Grand Tour has driven Buzz Aldrin's stingray if im not mistaken.
