I have EXTREMELY ticklish feet, and had a doctor do this test without warning... once. My foot KICKED OUT with such force, he was pushed back across the exam room about 8 feet, on his little five wheeled stool, and SLAMMED into the opposite wall !! He let out this horrid "OOF/Squeak" sound! Nurses came running from EVERYWHERE!! I was MORTIFIED! He's never done it again without warning, and NEVER sits directly in front of me. sigh.

Ever since i was dxd many years ago, I've been amazed that all neurologists have keys in their pockets that they whip out for this test (they dont always have the knee hammer hammer handy)

My neuro hasn’t done this test with me. Should I ask about it. I see and learn more things from you than my neuro. I swear

My feet hurt so bad. That would hurt terribly. Plus my feet are ultra sensitive. Why so rough?

I have been identified as having The Babinksi Response, on my right toe. Does this definitely identify damage to the brain on the opposite side? What part of the brain and can it been seen on an MRI?

What does it mean when your knee kicks really gas out when taking on it?

Normal response is curling inward (like toes trying to make a fist). Babinsky response is to have the toes flex outward, particularly the big toe.

I am not a doctor.
