Dawn dish soap (regular blue stuff), is good for this sort of surface prep as well. It's a strong surfactant and will emulsify any oils so they can be removed easily. Probably not as convenient as Windex, but likely works better.

excellent video, I bought these but the adhesive didn't fully catch on the tank on the edges, I haven't ridden the bike (Storing it for now)
Any tips on how I can get these edges to glue to the tank please?

Hi there, I have a 2018 R6, would tank pads affect the paint when you’re ready to remove them? Like peel the paint, or have a different color tint due to not getting fade from the sun? Thank you!

Hey Brian what do you recommend to protect the swing arm on a 2015 r1 I noticed some scuffs on my bike from my heel of the boot

The summer heat made the part that attaches to the plastic start to peel. It took 1500 miles before it happened, but I took them off. I did not pre-heat on installation. Could that be the problem? The rest of the grips on the tank are fine.

is there any glue that I can use to reinstall the tank pads? my central pad started to peel off and it's been on my bike for a couple of months only -I pre-heated surface and all that when installed just as I did with the side pads about a year ago. have not had any problems with those so far

4:40 You probably should not touch the surface since you have oil inside your finger tips and every where you touch...
